Ina Brouwer (born April 11, 1950 in Rotterdam ) is a Dutch lawyer and politician of the Partij van de Arbeid (PvdA).

Life

Brouwer studied law at the University of Groningen . From 1973 to 1991 Brouwer was a member of the Communist Partij van Nederland (CPN). From 1982 to 1991 Brouwer was party leader of the CPN. From 1981 to 1986 Brouwer was a member of the Second Chamber of the States General . From 1991 to 2006 Brouwer was a member of the newly founded party GroenLinks . From 1989 to 1994 Brouwer was a member of the Second Chamber of the States General for GroenLinks. Brouwer was the successor to Peter Lankhorst in 1994 as party leader of the GroenLinks; she was followed in office by Paul Rosenmöller . Brouwer has been a member of the Partij van de Arbeid (PvdA) since 2007 .
