Ina van Faassen
Ina van Faassen (born November 19, 1928 in Amsterdam ; † July 23, 2011 there ) was a Dutch actress and cabaret artist .
Life
Ina van Faassen was born Gesina Maria van Faassen , the daughter of Gerard Heinrich van Faassen and his wife Johanna Christina Heerding in Amsterdam. Already during her school days she participated in school theater performances .
She completed an acting training at the Academie voor Dramatic Kunst in Amsterdam, from which she graduated in 1951 with an acting diploma. Van Faassen began her acting career as a stage actress . She has appeared as a stage actress at the Nederlandse Comedie , the Rotterdam Theater ( Rotterdams Toneel ) and the Theratercompagnie Ensemble . She appeared on the stage in the two plays Een bruid in de morgen and Suiker by Hugo Claus .
At a cabaret festival in which Van Faassen took part, she was discovered for television in the mid-1960s by the Dutch cabaret artist Wim Sonneveld and the copywriter Friso Wiegersma . From 1967 onwards she took part in over 600 performances of his second TV show, the follow-up to Een avond met Wim Sonneveld , as an actress, singer and cabaret artist.
Van Faassen also appeared in a number of feature films , such as the drama If You Don't Get It From Your Heart (1960) by Fons Rademakers . In the family film and film musical Hans Brinker (1969) she took on the role of Mrs. Bouman at the side of Eleanor Parker and Richard Basehart . She had numerous appearances in television films and television series . She took on continuous series roles in the sitcom Ieder Zijn Deel (1977–1978), Cassata (1979) and in the comedy series Zonder Ernst (1992). She had an episode role as a psychiatrist in the television series Waaldrecht (1973); Her role as Frau Rieske in the film adaptation of the novel De Koperen tuin (1975) was remarkable .
In 1966 she was awarded the title "Actress of the Year" for her acting achievements.
Van Faassen was married to the Dutch journalist and actor Ton van Duinhoven (1921-2010) since 1960 , with whom she often played together. Van Faassen died at her home in Amsterdam at the age of 82. She was buried in the Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam .
