Incitec Pivot is a fertilizer manufacturing company based in Australia .
It was created in June 2003 from the merger of Incitec Fertilizers and the Pivot Group and is a leader in Australia in the production of fertilizers for the fertilization of agricultural areas. Southern Cross Fertilisers was acquired in 2006 and Dyno Nobel , one of the largest explosives manufacturers in Australia and North America, in 2008 .
Incitec Pivot has so far imported the most important raw material for its production, phosphate , from north-west Africa , but in November 2005 concluded a cooperation agreement with the geographically closer island state of Nauru to resume phosphate mining there. The cost of renovating the mines is about six million dollars. It is estimated that it will take around three to five years to mine the remaining phosphate there. Incitec Pivot will share in profits from phosphate sales.
Incitec Pivot is currently (2016) building a new ammonia plant in Waggaman (Louisiana) .
Dyno Nobel
Dyno Nobel is ammonium nitrate at its plant in Moranbah ( Isaac Region forth). The company also has locations for mixing emulsion explosives around the world , particularly in Indonesia.
