The Indiana Ice Miners were an American ice hockey team from Indiana , Pennsylvania . The team played in the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League in the 2007-08 season .

history

The team was founded in 2007 as a franchise for the first-ever Mid-Atlantic Hockey League . In their only season, the Ice Miners, who were trained by former ECHL goalkeeper Brian Gratz , took first place in the MAHL after the regular season. The season was ended prematurely due to financial problems by the management of the league and the playoffs were waived. The championship leader Indiana Ice Miners, who had 31 wins and only one defeat at that time, was declared MAHL champion. When the MAHL was dissolved again after a year, the Ice Miners also stopped playing. Later attempts to continue the league failed, so the Ice Miners were finally dissolved. Fidel Jenkins had previously acquired the team, but could not change the situation.
