history

The team was founded in 2007 as a franchise for the first-ever Mid-Atlantic Hockey League . In their only season, the Wooster Warriors finished second in the MAHL after the regular season behind the Indiana Ice Miners . The season was ended prematurely due to financial problems of the management of the league and the playoffs were waived, whereupon the Indiana Ice Miners was declared champions. Later attempts to continue the league failed, whereby the Wooster Warriors were finally dissolved. Previously there were plans to relocate the team to Trenton , Michigan .
