The tour of the Indian national cricket team against the West Indies in the 1999 season (also DMC Cup 1999 for sponsorship reasons ) took place from September 11 to 14, 1999 in Canada . The international cricket tour was part of the 1999 international cricket season and included three ODIs . India won the series 2–1.

prehistory

The West Indies previously played a three-nation tournament in Singapore , India a three-nation tournament in Sri Lanka . It was originally planned that Pakistan against India would play this tour in Canada against each other as in previous years. As a result of the Kargil War , however, the West Indies were called in at short notice, which held a tour against both teams. The tour against Pakistan took place immediately afterwards.
