The Germain langur ( Trachypithecus germaini ) is a species of primate from the group of the Schlankaffen (Presbytini).

The fur of the Germain langurs is predominantly gray in color, the belly, throat and hind legs are lighter (cream-colored), and the dark face is also surrounded by a wreath of cream-colored hair. The hands and feet can be black, as can the top of the tail. Like all crested langurs , they are slender primates with the tail longer than the body.

Germain langurs are native to Southeast Asia, their range extends from southern Myanmar and southern Thailand , excluding the Malay Peninsula, to Cambodia and the southern part of Vietnam . The habitat of this species are forests.

Little is known about the way of life. Like all old world monkeys, they are diurnal and mostly stay on trees. They are allowed to live in harem groups made up of one male, one or more females and the young animals. Their diet consists of leaves, fruits and other parts of plants. Nothing is known about the degree of endangerment either, the IUCN lists the Indochinese langur under “too little data available”.

This species is closely related to the silver crested langur and was previously considered to be its subspecies. There are two subspecies, T. g. germaini and T. g. caudalis .
