Industrial ceramist decoration technology

The industrial ceramist decoration technology is a state-recognized training occupation according to the Vocational Training Act .

Duration of training and structure

The training period to become an industrial ceramist in decoration technology is usually three years. The training takes place at the training company and vocational school .

The training occupation is stipulated in a joint training regulation with three other training occupations:

The first year of training is identical in all four training occupations. In the second and third year of training, specific qualifications are imparted.

History of origin

With the reorganization of the apprenticeships for the ceramic industry, some older apprenticeships were abolished and integrated into the new professions. The contents of the industrial ceramics specialist in mechanics flowed into the industrial ceramics specialist plant engineering . Work areas

Industrial ceramics decoration technology refine products made of porcelain , utility or decorative ceramics. They design decors and fonts, paint ceramic products and make decorations in overglaze, inglaze or underglaze . They apply color print decorations and colors to the products.
