Ines Springer (born November 25, 1956 in Glauchau ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been a member of the Saxon state parliament since 2009 .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in 1973, Springer completed an apprenticeship as a skilled worker for quality control with a high school diploma at VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau . From 1976 to 1980 she studied at the Zwickau Engineering College (today: Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau ) and graduated with a degree in automotive engineering. From 1980 to 1991 she was employed at VEB IFA Karosseriewerke Meerane, first as a designer and later as a specialist planner and test engineer. From 1992 to 1994 she was branch manager of Technoleasing für Mobilien GmbH, then until 1995 managing director of AHS Auto-Handel & Service GmbH. Springer has been working as a freelancer since 1995.

Springer lives in Glauchau, is married and has a daughter. She belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran denomination.

Springer is a member of the CDU. She was a member of the Zwickau district committee and an assessor in the state committee of the CDU Saxony. Since 1999 she has been a city councilor, here from 2002 to 2015 chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group, and first deputy mayor of the city of Glauchau. In the state elections in 2009 she succeeded as a direct candidate in the constituency of Chemnitzer Land 1 with a share of the vote of 39.3% in the Saxon state parliament. She was a member of the Committee on Economy, Labor and Transport and the Committee on Environment and Agriculture. After the state elections in 2014 , Springer is a member of the Committee on Environment and Agriculture as well as deputy parliamentary group leader and treasurer of her parliamentary group.

In the state elections in Saxony in 2019 , she was elected constituency member in the constituency of Zwickau 4 with 36.7 percent of the direct votes.
