Ineta Sipunova

Ineta Sipunova (born March 24, 1970 in Madona , Latvian SSR ) is a Latvian video designer .

life and work

Sipunova graduated from the Latvian Art Academy in Riga in 2001 . Recently she has worked as a video artist for various opera productions, including Avis Hermanis ' productions of Così fan tutte at the Komische Oper Berlin (2013, stage: Uta Gruber Ballehr ) and Jenůfa at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels (2014) as well as Andrejs Žagars '' Productions by Tannhäuser at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow (2013, stage: Andris Freibergs ) and Lohengrin at the Lithuanian National Opera (2013, stage: Reinis Suhanovs ). In 2014 she was also responsible for the set and video design for the world premiere of Krists Auznieks ' chamber opera Solar Wind , directed by Zane Kreicberga in the Spikeri concert hall in Riga. Ineta Sipunova has been designing video projections in the field of spoken theater since 2006. Her most recent works include Tracy Letts ' August: Osage Country , directed by Girts Ecis and Mindaugas Karbauskis (stage: Gints Gabrans) at the Mayakovsky Theater in Moscow (2013). In March 2017 she designed the video projections for the new Alvis Hermanis production of Richard Wagner's Parsifal at the Vienna State Opera .

Her video works of art have been shown in exhibitions in Latvia , France , Germany and Finland since 2005 . Since 2001 she has been teaching in the stage design department of the Latvian Art Academy .
