The Inflexible class was a class of four ships of the line of the British Royal Navy built between 1777 and 1782 . The ships of the class were armed with 64 cannons and classified as third rank warships .

The Inflexible class consisted of the following ships:

  • HMS Inflexible : launched on March 7, 1780, broken up in 1820.
  • HMS Africa : launched on April 11, 1781, wrecked 1814.
  • HMS Scepter : launched on June 8, 1781, stranded on November 5, 1799, 349 dead.
  • HMS Dictator : Launched January 6, 1783, wrecked 1817.
