Inge Bråten

Inge Vidar Bråten (born July 31, 1948 in Rena , Hedmark , Norway ; † April 13, 2012 ) was a Norwegian cross-country ski trainer and has been a sports moderator on Eurosport since 2010 .

Career

Inge Bråten took over the Norwegian cross-country skiing team from 1990 to 1994 and won 15 gold medals at world championships and Olympics with athletes such as Bjørn Dæhlie , Vegard Ulvang and Thomas Alsgaard . Between 2005 and 2007 he also coached the Swedish cross-country skiing team and won three gold medals with it at the 2006 Winter Olympics . He also looked after the Canadian and Swiss national teams.

Inge Bråten died in hospital on April 13, 2012 as a result of his cancer .
