Ingeborg Thomé

Pauline Maria Ingeborg Thomé , b. Völker (born February 7, 1925 in Koblenz ; † January 8, 2017 in Mainz ) was a German television journalist .

Life

After studying humanities, Ingeborg Thomé began her career in 1951 in the Mainz studio of Südwestfunk as the only male radio reporter. As a radio and television reporter at Südwestfunk, she was primarily responsible for social issues. She left the Südwestfunk in 1963. From 1975 to 1991 Ingeborg Thomé presented the program Mosaik - The magazine for the older generation on ZDF . She also took part in the programs 5 after ten (1981-1986) and Die MondSchein-Show (1994).

On March 1, 1990, Thomé retired as editor-in-chief. Ingeborg Thomé last lived in Mainz, where she died in early 2017 at the age of 91.
