Ingeburg Thomsen
Ingeburg Thomsen is a German rock and jazz singer .
Ingeburg Thomsen first sang folklore before switching to blues singing. At the end of the 1960s she played with Abbi Huebner in Hamburg , with whom the first recordings were made ( Cake Walkin 'Babies from Home / Jelly Bean Blues ). In the first half of the 1970s she played a. a. with the Hamburg All Stars , Peter "Banjo" Meyers Dampfkapelle (album Herzlose Lieder , 1974) and the Jazz Lips (album Jazz Lips Feat. Ikey Robinson and Thomas Jefferson , Metronome 1975). From the middle of the decade she played in the Hamburg rock scene a. a. with the band Randy Pie(heard as a background singer on the album England England from 1976) and with the rock band Rudolf Rock & die Schocker , with whom she appeared in Hamburg venues such as the Winterhuder Fährhaus and recorded the single Denis (The Show Mit Dir War Schön) . In 1976 she presented her first solo album Love Me or Leave Me , on which she interpreted a repertoire with jazz standards such as God Bless the Child , Stardust and I Hear Music . In 1983 the rock album Weisse Sklavin and the single Peter appeared . In 1984 she had a role in the feature film Thousand Eyes (directed by Hans-Christoph Blumenberg ).
