Ingo Froese (born January 21, 1957 in Giessen) is a German basketball Bundesliga player . In his active time from 1974 to 1989, the only 1.80 meter tall athlete played at MTV Gießen , MTV Wolfenbüttel and Steiner Bayreuth .

Career

In 1974 Froese began his career at his home MTV Gießen and won the German championship title with the club in 1978 and the cup victory in 1979. In the 1979/1980 season he moved to MTV Wolfenbüttel, where he also won the cup, five years later to Steiner Bayreuth. With the local team he was vice-cup winner in 1987 and 1988, after which he ended his active career.

During this period Ingo Froese played 16 times for the German national basketball team . Together with his former teammate from Steiner Bayreuth, Georg Kämpf , Froese was coach of the national youth basketball team in 1994.
