Ingo Koster

Ingo Koster (born January 27, 1950 in Gadebusch ) is a German singer , composer and music producer whose career began in the GDR in the 1960s .

Life

Koster spent his early youth in Berlin , where he came into contact with music at an early age. While taking piano lessons, he discovered his love for the guitar. In 1966, the director Jürgen Böttcher gave him a small role in the DEFA film year 45 . In 1967 he joined Thomas Natschinski and his group (formerly Team 4 ) as a singer and bassist and two years later he had a success with the song Mokka - Milch - Eisbar . In parallel to the music business, Koster completed an apprenticeship as a costume tailor at the German TV radio and was trained as a singer from 1969 to 1971 in the Central Studio for Entertainment Art. In 1970 he began working with the band Brot & Salz , which renamed itself to Drei in 1978 . Also in 1970 Ingo Koster made it as the only artist with two titles in the hit final of once a year with the title Maja Maja and And so on . In 1978 he composed and produced the Blues vom Abschied for the soundtrack of the DEFA film Sabine Wulff . In 1987 Gaby Rückert also joined Group Three and together with her a new musical and private phase began for Ingo Koster. After the disintegration of Drei , he continued to work alongside Rückert. From 1992 he produced and composed several albums and singles in the ballad-like style Koster / Rückert under his own label Talisman Music . In the joint collaboration between Gaby Rückert and Ingo Koster, works such as Auf einer Lange Reise , Der Sand von Rügen and Daughter Sunshine were created .

In 2010 Ingo Koster released the album Lebenswert - Between Love and Pain together with Gaby Rückert . In the same year the Christmas album Christmas Time was released, the proceeds of which went to Tierhilfe Wendland eV. The couple Gaby Rückert / Ingo Koster are still on stage together today.

Koster lives in Berlin and Wendland .
