Ingo Mendel

Ingo Mendel (born June 24, 1960 in Menden ) is a former German basketball player . The 2.08 meter tall indoor player completed 55 international A games for the Federal Republic of Germany and took part in the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Career

Mendel comes from Menden in the Sauerland and initially played in the youth department of SV Menden. He later played for SSV Hagen , ASC Göttingen and 1. FC Bamberg in the Bundesliga . With Göttingen he became German champion and won the DBB Cup . In addition, Mendel studied and played at the University of Southern California in the early 1980s .

National team

Between 1980 and 1987 he played 55 senior international games for Germany and was part of the German national team for the 1981 European Championship in Czechoslovakia and the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
