Rudolf Karl Freiherr von Finck , also Rudolf Carl Freiherr von Finck , (born September 7, 1837 in Dresden , † April 20, 1901 there ) was a German manor owner , Saxon chamberlain and politician . He was a long-time member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

He came from the noble family von Finck, who were raised to the baron class. His father was Carl Eduard Freiherr von Finck, who owned the Linz manor near Schönfeld.

In 1871, Rudolf Karl Freiherr von Finck acquired the Nöthnitz Castle in Bannewitz from Chief Forester Julius Bernhard von Könneritz (1827–1883) , who had the facility rebuilt and modernized in 1872/73. The floor was increased by one floor. In continuation of the Bünau tradition, von Finck put together a new library. At the end of the 1860s, however, he preferred to live mainly in the royal seat of Dresden, where he also died in 1901.

From 1877 until his death he was elected member of the manor's estate owners in the first chamber of the Meissen district . Finck was a member of the Conservative State Association in Saxony and its chairman from 1882 to 1884.

In 1890 he played a key role in the acquisition of Carl Spitzner's important porcelain collection . Two years later, in front of the First Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament, he pointed out in retrospect that “we have succeeded in acquiring the important Spitzner collection for our porcelain collection ; It has thus filled an essential gap and given the opportunity to put together a continuous series of the brands of our Meissen porcelain factory, which unfortunately was missing until now ”.
