Ingolf Metze

Ingolf Metze (born December 6, 1934 ) is a German financial scientist .

After completing his studies, Metze completed his habilitation in 1966. At the beginning of 1972, he was appointed full professor for economics to the chair of finance at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster .

From 1973 he was director of the Institute for Public Finance alongside Herbert Timm . From 1979 to 1985 he was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the Federal Ministry for Family, Youth and Health . In 1996/1997 Metze was Dean of the Faculty of Economics.

Metze mainly dealt with general and special taxation , social policy and health economics .

In his last active years, his main efforts were focused on developing a simulation model for the determination of macroeconomic tax effects.
