Ingrid Anker

Ingrid Anker (* 1946 in Oberaudorf ) is a German social scientist and local politician .

Career

Anker studied sociology, psychology and communication science. After her doctorate , she worked as a research assistant at the Bundeswehr University in Neubiberg. After working at the Social Science Institute of the Bundeswehr in Strausberg, she has been back at the University of the Bundeswehr as Scientific Director since 2000.

Her political career began in 1972 when she joined the SPD . In 1994 she was elected as the first woman to head the SPD sub-district of Munich. From July 25, 1995 to April 30, 2014 she was a member of the Munich City Council , where she was a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee and cultural policy spokesperson. She also had a seat on the supervisory board of the municipal hospital .
