Ingrid Clara Charlotta Sandahl (born November 5, 1924 in Stockholm , † November 15, 2011 in Örebro ) was a Swedish gymnast.

Act

At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , only one competition for gymnasts was offered, the team all-round competition. The Czechoslovak team won ahead of the Hungarians and the US team. Ingrid Sandahl finished fourth with the Swedish team, with 51.00 points being the third-best gymnast on her team.

In 1950, gymnastics world championships were held for the first time after the Second World War . At the competitions in Basel , Sandahl took eighth place in the all-around individual ranking as the third-best female gymnast in her team. She came fourth on the uneven bars. The team competition was won by the Swedish team with Evy Berggren , Vanja Blomberg , Karin Lindberg , Gunnel Ljungström , Hjördis Nordin , Ann-Sofi Pettersson-Colling , Göta Pettersson and Ingrid Sandahl.

At the Olympic Games in 1952 , in addition to the team competition, six other competitions for gymnasts were offered: individual all-around, four individual devices and group gymnastics. The Swedish team finished fourth in the team all-around competition behind the Soviet Union, Hungary and Czechoslovakia. In the individual all-around event, Ingrid Sandahl took 57th place, on the equipment the 52nd place in the jump was her best result. In the final group gymnastics with hand-held devices, the Swedish team won ahead of the Soviet Union and Hungary. The Swedish team won with Evy Berggren, Vanja Blomberg, Karin Lindberg, Hjördis Nordin, Ann-Sofi Pettersson-Colling, Göta Pettersson, Gun Röring and Ingrid Sandahl.
