Ingunn Foss (born February 7, 1960 in Flekkefjord ) is a Norwegian politician of the conservative party Høyre . She has been a member of the Storting since 2013 .

Life

After graduating from school, Foss worked from 1979 to 2007 in the human resources department of Kvinesdal Municipality . From 1994 to 1999 she studied various subjects part-time at Lillehammer University . Between 2003 and 2013, Foss sat in the local parliament of Lyngdal municipality . She was first deputy mayor before taking over the office of mayor in 2007.

Foss entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2013 general election . There she represents the constituency of Vest-Agder and she became a member of the economic committee. She initially stayed there after the 2017 election before joining the judicial committee at the end of January 2019. On January 30th, 2020, she was elected Deputy Secretary of the Storting.
