Ingvar Svensson (politician)

Ingvar Svensson (born April 30, 1944 in Osby , Skåne län ) is a former Swedish politician of the Christian Democrats ( Kristdemokraterna ) .

Life

After attending school, he studied philosophy and graduated with a master's degree . Svensson was in the Swedish general election, 1991 in the Reichstag elected. In these elections, the Christian Democrats were able to improve by 4.2 percentage points and for the first time move into the Reichstag on their own with 26 members. Svensson, who represented the constituency of Stockholm County , was a member of the Constitutional Committee between 1991 and 1994, as well as a temporary member of the Nomination Committee.

After the defeat in the 1994 election to the Swedish Reichstag , in which the Christian Democrats lost 3.07 percentage points and 11 of the 26 seats, Svensson left the Reichstag.

In the Reichstag elections on September 20, 1998 , he was re-elected as a member of parliament and, after being re-elected in 2002 and 2006, was a member of this until October 4, 2010. During this time he was again a full member of the constitutional committee and a deputy and deputy member of several other parliamentary bodies.
