Government formation

After the losses in this election, the social democratic minority government under Prime Minister Göran Persson needed the support of another party in addition to the Left Party, which achieved the best election result in its history, but could not compensate for the losses of the Social Democrats in order to remain in office. To this end, an agreement was reached with the Greens.
