Election to the Swedish Parliament in 1964
The 1964 election for the Second Chamber of the Swedish Reichstag took place on September 20th . It brought only minor changes in voting behavior. With Tage Erlander , the Social Democrats continued to provide the prime minister of a minority government . The second strongest force was again the Liberals .
Only the conservatives suffered major losses. Part of this went to the first-time candidate Christian Democrats , who, with 1.78 percent, clearly missed entry into the Reichstag.
