Ingward Ullrich

Ingward Ullrich (* 1931 ) is a German forester and Esperantist .

Life

He studied forest sciences at the Eberswalde Forestry Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin . For more than 25 years he worked in Weimar at the Thuringian Forestry Agency . Most recently, until he retired in 1992, he was the department head for silviculture and forest protection in the State Forestry Directorate Thuringia.

He became an Esperantist in 1967 . Since 1981 he has been working mainly on forest terminology issues in Esperanto . He is an active contributor to the multilingual forest dictionary Lexicon silvestre and head of the IFRE Terminological Commission (International Circle of Esperanto-speaking Foresters). A number of forest articles in Esperanto and translations of forest articles and other publications come from his pen.
