Inherit Disease is an American brutal and technical death metal band from Ventura , California that was formed in 2001.

history

The band was formed in 2001. After the band had signed a contract with Unique Leader Records , the debut album Procreating an Apocalypse followed in 2006 . Then the band consisted of bassist Josh Welling, drummer Andy Kirk, guitarist Sean Kennedy and singer Obie Flett. In the period that followed, various line-up changes occurred while the group was writing on their next album. In 2010 the next album Visceral Transcendence followed, which was recorded in the 18th Cellar Studio under the direction of Samur Khouja , while it was mastered by Stefano Morabito . Dan Osborn as the new drummer and Derek De Roos as the new guitarist could be heard on the recording. Guest vocalists included Justin Richey from the band Retch and Connor Bond from Envenomation. This was followed in the summer of the year at the Las Vegas Deathfest, Central Illinois Metalfest and the Mountains of Death in Switzerland .

style

According to Allmusic's Phil Freeman, the band on Visceral Transcendence play a mix of technical and brutal death metal with fast-paced drums, down-tuned riffs that would be reminiscent of Cannibal Corpse , and the occasional high- pitched pig squeals . The guttural singing is otherwise very deep and therefore completely incomprehensible. The drums are reminiscent of Lamb of Gods Chris Adler or Napalm Deaths Danny Herrera . One can hardly consciously perceive the bass in the songs.
