Inka-Gabriela Schmidt (born Räbiger, born October 15, 1959 in Hanover ) is a German specialist book and novelist. Her novels are in the genres of fantasy , romance and mystery thriller and are all set in our time.

Life

Inka-Gabriela Schmidt grew up as the second child of Fritz Räbiger and his wife Gertrud (née Lindemann) in Munich. In 1980 she passed the Abitur at the Elsa-Brandström-Gymnasium there , and in 1984 she graduated from the Munich University of Applied Sciences with a degree in communication design (Dipl. FH). The author has been married to Winfried Schmidt since 1985. She is the niece of the Berlin fireworker Gerhard Räbiger .

Profession and specialist publications

Schmidt is a lecturer for desktop publishing and a trainer at the private vocational school for media designers for digital and print in Munich, which belongs to Macromedia GmbH under the umbrella of the Macromedia Academy. Schmidt is also an examiner for media professions at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria. Together with her husband, she wrote articles for the computer magazine Macwelt . Schmidt translated and updated the specialist book Print Production Well Done for the Hermann Schmidt publishing house . In 2009 the same publisher published the cheat sheet, exam knowledge for media designers digital and print , a box with 660 flash cards, which Schmidt wrote together with her colleagues Herwig Horn and Henrik Wolf.

Fiction

With Kristallsee , a mystery thriller, her first novel was published by a publisher. The book is about a Cathar treasure hidden in a cave lake in the Pyrenees and the idea of using crystals as holographic data storage for human memories.

Schmidt belongs to the authors' association Ladys Lit and contributed a short story to two of the association's anthologies.

With Elfenkind , she started a series in the fantasy romance genre. In addition to love stories about various paranormal beings, the focus of the series is on a prophecy of the end of the world and the search for five rescuers who should prevent this. The first volume was published in March 2011, the second under the title Valentine in February 2012.

Schmidt treads a new path with angels' suffering . The novel is about Laura, who is a Nephilim , the daughter of Azaradeel, a fallen angel. Unaware of her parentage, she falls in love with a demon, not realizing that he wants to free his kind by sacrificing her blood on an altar in the sacred sculpture forest of Bomarzo .

With Parallelflucht , Schmidt has achieved an exciting combination of urban fantasy and fantasy romance.
