Inke Gunia

Inke Gunia (born February 4, 1964 in Elmshorn ) is a German Romanist .

Life

After completing her university entrance qualification on November 11, 1983 at the Goethe School in Buenos Aires , she studied Hispanic Studies (with French as a minor), English and ethnology at the University of Hamburg from 1984 to 1988 (1989: Magistra Artium). From 1989 to 1995 she was a research assistant at the Ibero-American Research Institute of the University of Hamburg . In 1991 she received a scholarship from the DAAD : Research at the Centro de Estudios Literarios of the Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México with Margit Frenk . After completing his doctorate in 1993 on the Mexican youth protest literature of the 1960s and 1970s: "Cual es la onda"? La literatura de la contracultura juvenil en el México de los años sesenta y setenta (1994) she worked from 1996 to 1998 on the current research project at the Institute for Romance Studies on the topic of “Genre development and genre validity of the Spanish novela picaresca”. In 1999 she had a research stay in Madrid thanks to a research grant from the DFG . After her habilitation in 2004 in Romance Philology / Ibero-Romance Literature: "De la Poesía a la Literatura: El cambio de los conceptos de poesía y literatura en la formación del campo literario en la España del siglo XVIII y principios del XIX" she taught since 2005 as a university professor for Romance philology / Hispanic literature at the University of Hamburg.

Her focus is on the relationship between factuality and fictionality, autobiographical and autofictional writing, historical avant-garde movements in Hispanic America, the youth protest movement in Mexico in the 1960s and 1970s, the literary / artistic field in Spain in the 18th and 19th centuries and the literatures of Hispanic America 19th and 20th centuries.
