Inline one-eleven
The Inline One-Eleven was a 111 km inline skate race that took place annually from 1998 to 2009 . It was the longest inline race in Switzerland and Europe. Every year around 1,000 inline skaters take part in the main race. Up to 25,000 spectators were cast under their spell along the route.
Since 2009 only 900 participants were counted, the sponsorship income decreased and the costs increased, the series was discontinued after the 12th race.
route
The start and finish were in St.Gallen (athletics center). The route of the main race ran across Eastern Switzerland: St. Gallen - Gossau - St. Pelagiberg - Muolen - Hefenhofen (Amriswil) - Altnau - Siegershausen - Märstetten (Weinfelden) - back via Alterswilen - Illighausen - Altnau - Dozwil - Muolen - Lömmenschwil - Wittenbach - back to St. Gallen.
In addition to the main race over 111 km, a race over 70 kilometers ("Easy Seventy"; without the descents in the first part of the route) took place. Other categories were: "Fun ThirtyFive" over 35 kilometers (Altnau, Wende, Altnau) without timing and the "Final Twenty" (20 kilometers, from Muolen to St.Gallen), which was also advertised for hand bikers and wheelchair users .
