Innakajik [ ˈinːakai (k) ] (according to the old spelling Ivnakajik ; also Ittoritteq ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the district of Ittoqqortoormiit in the communeqarfik Sermersooq .
location
Innakajik is located on the west bank of the confluence of the Kangersaajiva (Hurry Inlet) in the Kangertittivaq and thus forms the southeastern tip of Jamesonland . The distance to Ittoqqortoormiit is 24 km to the east.
history
Innakajik was founded as one of the first three residential areas together with Ittoqqortoormiit in 1925. In 1930 32 people lived in Innakajik. In 1940 there were 15 and in 1944 the last four residents left the place, which was the first to be abandoned in the district.
