Innishannon
Innishannon ( Irish Inis Eonáin ) is a village in County Cork in the Republic of Ireland . In 2011 there were 767 inhabitants.
The village lies between Cork and Bandon on the River Bandon . A train station about three kilometers from the village served Innishannon until 1961, when the rail link was closed.
Author Alice Taylor is one of the prominent residents .
