Innocenzo Francucci
Innocenzo Francucci (* between 1490 and 1494 in Imola ; † between 1547 and 1550 in Bologna ; occasionally Innocenzo da Imola ) was an Italian painter.
Francucci was the son of goldsmith champion Pietro Francucci . When he was about twenty, Francucci became a student of Francesco Francia in Bologna in 1508 ; generously supported with a grant from the council of his hometown. On Francias recommendation, Francucci later moved to Florence in the studio of Mariotto Albertinelli . Francucci's remarkable copies of Raphael also date from this period .
Francucci lived and worked almost exclusively in Bologna. His most important students are Prospero Fontana and Francesco Primaticcio .
The painter Innocenzo Francucci died between 1547 and 1550 in Bologna at the age of 50.
His panels are in museums in Berlin , Frankfurt am Main , Munich and Saint Petersburg .
