Island 53
Insel 53 is a listed farm in Klein Schierstedt near Aschersleben in Saxony-Anhalt . The name results from the street name Insel , which in turn is derived from the local inland island of the Wipper .

It is located in the center of the village of Klein Schierstedt, which is part of Aschersleben . To the west is adjacent to the also listed Gasthof An der alten Mühle . The Wipper runs north of the property and the Mühlgraben to the south .
History and architecture
The farm has a unit house that is typical of the region and was built around 1800. The house, which is divided across, has largely been preserved in its original condition. In the living area in the eastern half, the original shutters and windows have been preserved. The five-axis residential half has a representatively designed entrance arranged in the central axis. A passage spanned by a segment arch leads through the service wing located in the western half .
In the local register of monuments , the farm is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 17293 .
