The exhibition Inside Rembrandt • 1606–1669 took place from November 1, 2019 to March 1, 2020 at the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud in Cologne and will be held from April 17 to August 30, 2020 in the Goltz-Kinsky Palace of the National Gallery in Prague shown. According to the Cologne Museum, it is a homage to the Dutch painter Rembrandt van Rijn , whose death on October 4, 2019 will be 350 years. In Cologne it was the second Rembrandt exhibition of the year, alongside the exhibition Rembrandt's graphic world shown from October 3, 2019 to January 12, 2020 .

In addition to the works of Rembrandt owned by the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud and the National Gallery in Prague, the exhibition includes a large number of loans from other museums. This includes A Scholar in his study room at the National Gallery in Prague, a work that has only been loaned abroad more than 70 years ago. The international loans come from institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam , the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp, the National Gallery in London, the Albertina in Vienna , the Alte Pinakothek in Munich, the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart and from private collectors. The presentation of Rembrandt's paintings, drawings and etchings is complemented by works by his contemporaries and students, including Jan Lievens , Govert Flinck and Ferdinand Bol .
