Robin Schmidt from laut.de rated Insomnia with four out of a possible five points. Ali As serves with the album "the haute cuisine of rapeseed". He rap with “perfectionist technique” and the lyrics are also praised. Only some beats are "kept rather slowly" and "don't always come out of their quark".
The sound carrier was also rated positively on rap.de. Insomnia is "an all-round successful and coherent album" with "glossy productions" that result in an "impressively monochrome picture". "Only in terms of highlights could one have set more accents."
