Intergroup "Long-term Investments and Reindustrialization"

The Intergroup “Long-term Investment and Reindustrialization” of the European Parliament (#invest 4 future) was founded to focus the debate on sustainable and long-term investments in the real economy in the European Union . Its aim is to accompany European regulation for the 2014–2019 electoral period.

Facility

The intergroup was set up in connection with the Junckers Plan at the end of 2014. Several political groups were involved in the campaign for its establishment: ( Group of the Progressive Alliance of Social Democrats in the European Parliament , Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) , Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe ). State and non-state actors in the financial sector and the real economy also accompanied the process: the umbrella association of the national associations of insurance companies in Europe ( Insurance Europe ), the umbrella association of craft trades and small and medium-sized enterprises ( UEAPME ), the umbrella association of the European chambers of commerce ( Eurochambres ), and the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC). The campaign for the establishment of this intergroup was initiated by the French Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations , the German KfW and the Italian Cassa Depositi e Prestiti .

The office consists of the President Dominique Riquet and the Vice-Presidents Simona Bonafè , Burkhard Balz and Adina-Ioana Valean .

In May 2015 the intergroup consisted of 71 members, including the office.
