Intermagnet
Intermagnet ( English International Real-time Magnetic Observatory Network ) is an international network for observing the Earth's magnetic field .

Intermagnet is a member of the International Science Council .
The organization collects the data collected worldwide at five institutions:
- Edinburgh , Scotland - British Geological Survey
- Golden (Colorado) , USA - United States Geological Survey
- Kyōto , Japan - Kyōto University
- Ottawa , Canada - Geological Survey of Canada
- Paris , France - Institut de physique du globe de Paris
Observatories
Six observatories are operated in Germany, Austria and Switzerland:
- German Research Center for Geosciences : Adolf Schmidt Observatory in Niemegk , Brandenburg
- German Research Center for Geosciences: Observatory in Wingst , Lower Saxony
- Universities of Karlsruhe and Stuttgart: Black Forest Observatory in Schiltach , Baden-Württemberg
- Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München : Observatory in Fürstenfeldbruck , Bavaria
- Institute for Geophysics at ETH Zurich : Observatory at Gan Airport in the Maldives
- Conrad Observatory of ZAMG in Lower Austria.
