The International Olympic Stadium ( Arabic الملعب الأولمبي الدولي, DMG al-malʿab al-ūlimbī ad-duwalī ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tripoli , Lebanon . It is located directly on the Mediterranean Sea and is mainly used for football. It is fully equipped with seats and has an athletics facility . The venue is the home stadium of the Lebanese national rugby union team .
The stadium was one of three venues for the 12th Asian Football Championship in 2000 . With 22,400 seats (13,200 covered) it was the smallest stadium of the three venues. Among other things, there is a VIP area with 675 seats, a press stand, six changing rooms for players and two for referees as well as a car park with 600 spaces.
