The International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) based in Lausanne is the international umbrella organization in ski mountaineering and a member of SportAccord . He replaced the International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions (ISMC) in 2008 and has been organizing ski mountaineering competitions ever since. 33 national associations are members of the ISMF.
