Ignatz von Gruben

Ignatz Wilhelm Marcellin von Gruben (* around 1794 ; † November 24, 1874 in Regensburg ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.

Life

Ignatz von Gruben studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1814 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . After completing his studies, he pursued a career as a judge. In 1829 he became a regional court assessor at the regional court in Düsseldorf . On May 23, 1829 he received the Prussian nobility recognition and was enrolled in the nobility register of the Prussian Rhine Province in the class of nobles (No. 135). From 1833 to 1838 he was a senior judge at the Münster Higher Regional Court . Afterwards he was a judge of appeal at the Cologne Court of Appeal .

Pits sat from 1852 until his mandate resignation on 1 November 1853 the constituency Aachen IV and from 1855 to 1858 for the constituency Aachen I in the Prussian House of Representatives . During his second term of office he belongs to the parliamentary group of the Left .

The politician Franz Josef von Gruben was his son.
