The International Budo University ( jap. 国際武道大学 , Kokusai Budo Daigaku ) IBU, abbreviated, a private university in is Katsuura , Chiba Prefecture , Japan , the sports teaching, especially Japanese martial arts and - arts such as kendo , aikido , judo and Karate .

The university was founded in 1984, the affiliated college for postgraduate studies was founded in 1996.

seminar

The International Budo University organizes the "International Seminar for Budo Culture" ( Japanese 国際 武道文 化 セ ミ ナ ー , Kokusai Budō Bunka Seminā ) every March . This weekend seminar is held for foreign Budōka residing in Japan and aims to "clarify the historical, philosophical and scientific aspects of Budō and to make Japanese culture known internationally". The seminar is organized by the Nippon Budōkan , headquartered in Tokyo.
