International reporters

International Reporter ( Norwegian : Internasjonal Reporter, IR ) is a Norwegian non-governmental organization that works to improve and expand Norwegian media coverage of Africa , Asia and Latin America . The organization promotes international journalistic collaborations and the use of local contacts.

The organization was founded in 1987 as a forum for development journalism by teaching staff from the Norwegian College of Journalism, researchers and journalists. The seat is in Oslo , Norway .

International Resource Network

The association maintains an English-language database , the so-called International Resource Network (IRN) It ​​contains profiles of journalists , photo reporters , researchers , employees of aid organizations , experts on site and other third world experts who live on site or who deal intensively with these topics deal with. The main target group of the IRN are Norwegian journalists, although the database can also be used by people who are employed in development aid, in the private sector or in other non-governmental organizations.

Journalism award
