International Union of Crystallography

The International Union of Crystallography (IUCr) is a scientific society founded in 1948. Its goals include promoting international collaboration in crystallography , the international publication of research results, and the standardization of methods, units, nomenclature and symbols. The IUCr is the publisher of the International Tables for Crystallography , the journals Acta Crystallographica and Journal of Applied Crystallography as well as the Structure Reports , which continued the German structure reports after the Second World War .

The IUCr has awarded the Ewald Prize since 1987 and the Gjønnes Medal in Electron Crystallography since 2008 .
