research

Attempts to make the future predictable and thus controllable with the aid of forecasting techniques are a cross-cultural anthropological constant. Under the leadership of the two main disciplines Sinology and Medieval History, the work at the IKGF deals from a historical and contemporary perspective with different ideas and techniques that were developed in dealing with the future of individuals and collectives. The internationally oriented college works according to the fellow principle. In addition to the permanent scientific staff of the IKGF, 10–20 outstanding specialists from various disciplines are invited to conduct research on site for 3–12 months.
