Karl Friedrich von Kitscher

Karl Friedrich von Kitscher (* in the Neumark ; † March 1, 1770 in Berlin ) was a Prussian colonel in the artillery , regiment chief and knight of the order Pour le Mérite .

Life

He was the son of the Prussian captain and heir on Briesen Levin Dyonisius von Kitscher and his wife Dorothea Agnesa, née von Weber.

Kitscher joined the Prussian artillery in 1737 as a bombardier . On November 19, 1741, he was promoted to second lieutenant and on December 24, 1742, he was promoted to prime lieutenant , and on August 21, 1750 to staff captain and finally in July 1757 to captain . On November 7, 1761 he was promoted to major and on December 27, 1761 to lieutenant colonel. Kitscher finally reached his highest rank on April 3, 1763 as colonel and regiment chief of the second artillery regiment .

Kitscher took part in all the Silesian wars . On August 27, 1760, he received the order Pour le Mérite for his service in the battle near Strehla .

He remained unmarried and died without leaving any heirs.
