Into Eternity is a Canadian progressive - death metal band from Regina .

history

Into Eternity was founded in 1998. A year later the band released their self-titled debut album as an in-house production. The album brought the band a contract with the German company Century Media , who re-released the debut album in 2000. In 2001 the second album Dead or Dreaming was released. With this album the band slowly developed their own sound. This trend brought the band the breakthrough in the metal scene in 2004. The album Buried in Oblivion received excellent reviews. The Rock Hard magazine named the album album of the month and awarded in the single criticism the highest score. In autumn 2006, the fourth album The Scattering of Ashes was released , which also received very good reviews. In its first week of sales, the album sold over 2,000 times in the United States. Into Eternity have been taking part in the gigantour since September 2006.

style

Into Eternity's music is difficult to describe. The band uses musical elements from almost all types of metal. The use of riffs from Thrash Metal , Power Metal- like clear vocals, Death Metal- influenced growls and drumming as well as songwriting reminiscent of Heavy Metal result in a mixture that is most easily described as Progressive Death Metal.

Into Eternity's record company Century Media promoted the album Buried in Oblivion as "Death Metal for Progressive Metal Fans and Progressive Metal for Death Metal Fans".
