Intwine was a Dutch rock band from Tilburg , which was founded in 2002. The original members all came from the Fontys Rock Academy.
In 2003 singer Roger Peterson was a finalist of the television series Idols , the Dutch DSDS counterpart, but turned down the record deal in favor of his band Intwine .
To date, the band has released four studio albums, all of which were in the Dutch charts, and 13 singles. The song Cruel Man , which was also the title song of the film De Dominee , even climbed to number 1 in the singles charts in Turkey.
In October 2010 the band announced their breakup on their website.

In 2002 the band was founded at the Fontys Rock Academy in Tilburg .
The band's first single, Happy? immediately became a great success in the Netherlands and Belgium and immediately reached number 3 in the local singles sales charts. The debut album Intwine includes three more successful singles: Way out , Get outta my head and Let me be . In the same year the band received a nomination for a Belgian TMF Award and the Dutch Edison Award .
- In 2004 Intwine contributed the title song Cruel Man to the Dutch box office success De Dominee , which made the second album “Perfect” an even greater success than its debut. Cruel Man even climbed to number 1 in the Turkish charts.
- In 2005 the band was nominated again for an Edison Award.
- In 2006 the band wrote new songs for the third album and placed the song Feel It on the soundtrack of the film Nachtrit .
- In 2008 the band signed a record deal with the German record label Tiefdruck-Musik and started working on the album Kingdom Of Contradiction .
- On August 14th, 2009, Intwine finally released Kingdom Of Contradiction , making its first release outside of their homeland.
The album entered the German Metal Rock Charts ("MRC 30") and climbed to number 7. In the Netherlands, however, sales fell with the change in style from the reggae-influenced pop-rock of the first two albums to dark rock -Album Pyrrhic Victory up to the last release Kingdom of Contradiction , which is very industrial influenced.
On October 16, 2010, the band announced their breakup on their official website. On October 18th 2010 the label Tiefdruck-Musik confirmed the end of the band on its website.
