Inupiaq is a group of dialects of the Inuit languages spoken in northern and northwestern Alaska . In addition, Inupiaq (plural Inupiat ) also denotes those groups of Eskimos who speak this language (see Iñupiat ). The dialect is further subdivided into the two main groups Seward Inupiaq (Northwest Alaska) and North Alaska Inupiaq (North Alaska and the extreme Northwest of Canada).
