The Io Peak is a turn 1000 m high mountain on Alexander Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises west of the Erratic Valley at the Ablation Valley .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2002 in connection with the neighboring Jupiter Glacier after Jupiter's moon Io .
